My husband and I just wrote out our monthly checks. This month we had a lot of extras to pay for because we needed a lot of work done on our old home. It seems like we have one thing fixed and something else breaks and we have to hire somebody to come over and fix it. As we are aging, we find that we need more help with everything. My husband can no longer do many of the things he used to be able to handle. He gets too winded cutting the grass or shoveling the snow. I really don’t enjoy cooking three meals every day and walking up and down the stairs is getting harder too. We have been think about moving to someplace affordable that would let us live with fewer worries. I think we were lucky enough to find just what we are looking for. It is senior living in Decatur. It is a small suburb of Atlanta, Georgia where my husband’s niece lives. We will be close to family and that is another advantage. This retirement community offers three delicious meals a day and the grounds are taken care of by a maintenance service. We will have time and energy to join in the scheduled activities they offer.
