As I was driving through the streets of downtown, I saw a well-dressed man in the corner of my eye. What caught my attention was that he was searching through the garbage. I thought to myself, ‘maybe this man just happened to lose a very expensive watch or his wallet. There should be no other reason why he is searching through that filth…’ But as I was I middle of my thoughts I saw him pull out a banana peel and smell it. The next thing he did was bite into it! My next thoughts upon seeing that was, ‘I have dealt with many of my clients, and this has to be a result of bankruptcy.’ Crazy as though it might be, there have been studies that showed the madness and idiocy becoming bankrupt can cause. The way this man was dressed and the way he acted was definitely a module of its results. My theory was that this man was originally very wealthy. Something drastic must have occurred that his job and reputation went downhill, and he subsequently went out of business with no options to retain his dignity. His last resort was to act as a poor man, wandering homeless on the streets and picking through the garbage to receive his sustenance. Even though he fell so low, he couldn’t possibly accept the fact that he is not a well respected man anymore, thus showing the irony of a pitiable man picking through trash in an expensive suit.
