I had always wanted a secretarial job. Being a people person was always my thing; being cooped up with office work was not. So I applied for a job at an agency that does relocation services. Other people’s lives were always more interesting then my own. Especially planning other people’s lives for them, as they see fit. After an hour in half interview I was given the job. I sit in front of a computer screen locating stunning homes going for reasonable rates. Yesterday I completed my first job, placing a young couple in a gorgeous, welcoming community. I had a meeting today with a couple that is known in our office for their fussiness. It made me only too proud of myself when they walked out less than an hour later with a whole new life planned out ahead of them, from a beautiful home to the best movers. It was all worked out! My best friend Susy called me up yesterday telling me that her husband’s work has asked him to relocate to their offices in Connecticut, she told me she was very excited about the move. New York City life had never been her favorite, and she was really looking forward to more of a country lifestyle but did not know where to begin. After a brief conversation, I think I pretty much figured out all her wants and needs and am just about ready to begin planning this next step in Susy's life.
