SACRED THING

Posted under Blog

A lawyer and client relationship is supposed to be a sacred thing. There’s a lot of trust involved and everything that you say to each other is supposed to be strictly confidential. Of course that’s only how things should be. It’s not how things actually always are. A good personal injury attorney is supposed to take your side and fight for your rights and the fact that you were injured by another person. He’s not supposed to share information you’ve given him with his lawyer friend from across town who just happens to be representing the guy who ran over your leg with his mountain bike. They weren’t discreet about it either. Too many other lawyers saw them meeting and overheard what they were talking about and the whole case got thrown out and will be retried later. I’m probably going to win now no matter what since this whole fiasco has made my case stronger by making it look like it could only be brought down by a crooked lawyer. However, I should have won my case originally anyway. All of this is just more paperwork and hassle. My leg’s even all healed up, but I need a way to pay those medical bills and my new lawyer.
