My neighbor Betty and her two brothers are caretakers for their elderly parents. They each take their parents for three months at a time to live at their homes. So far the arrangement is working out just fine. Between the three children, their parents always have somebody to rely on. Betty would really like to go back to work, as with the way the economy is right now she could use the extra money. If she gets a job she knows that she wouldn’t be able to take off for three months at a time when her parents were with her. If she were to hire somebody to stay with her parents while she worked, then that would defeat the purpose of working for extra money. She decided to go to a temporary employment agency and see if they could help her solve this problem. The employees of the agency were so helpful. They were able to figure out a working schedule that fit in with Betty’s needs. She got quality positions that fit her skill level and she still was able to have the time off when she needed it, plus the extra income she made when she was working help her financial situation.
